How It Works

AI-Powered Search

Use browseto.com's AI search to find relevant websites based on natural language queries. The AI understands context and returns the most relevant URLs for your search.

Direct URL Auditing

Already know the URL you want to audit? Enter it directly and we'll immediately fetch its historical data from the Wayback Machine.

Wayback Machine Integration

We use the Internet Archive's CDX Server API to fetch historical snapshots. The API provides timestamps, content digests, and links to archived versions.

Change Detection

Content changes are detected by comparing SHA-1 digests between snapshots. When the digest changes, we know the content was modified.

Technical Details

  • •CDX API: We query web.archive.org/cdx/search/cdx with parameters for date filtering, JSON output, and status code filtering.
  • •Digest Comparison: Each snapshot includes a content digest (hash). Different digests indicate content changes.
  • •Archive Links: View any historical snapshot at web.archive.org/web/[timestamp]/[url]
  • •Rate Limiting: We implement delays between requests to respect the Internet Archive's servers.
